Pictured is the 400-year-old Jianhe Bridge on the Qingshui River in
Jianhe County of Guizhou Province's Qiandongnan Prefecture taken on April
5. In order to meet the requirement of the construction of Sanbanxi
Hydropower Plant for the West-to-East Electricity Transmission Project,
the old county seat of Jianhe will be moved to the new site located in
the county's Gedong Town as a whole before this August and the water
level in the old county seat situated by the Qingshui River will rise
about 75 meters. It was learned that Jianhe Bridge is China's first
cantilever and truss arch bridge with the longest span.
