Man-made snow in Jinan skifield
www.chinanews.cn 2005-12-07 16:48:29
Four giant snow-making machines burst forth snowflakes flying all over
the air to lay slide ways of international standards in Jinxiangshan
skifield on the southern mountainous region in Jinan City on Dec. 6. A
strong cold wave caused continuous low temperature in Jinan and the
temperature in the mountainous region kept staying at 10 to 4 degrees
Celsius below zero (10 to 24.8 degrees Fahrenheit), which was suitable
for snow-making. Skifields like Jinxiangshan started to make snow in full
scale, calling for the beginning of winter athletic entertainments.
